Areas we cover across Renfrewshire

Motorway Assist is based in Renfrewshire and also covers a wide catchment across the surrounding areas, from routine servicing at your home or workplace right through to 24 hour breakdown recovery.

Being mobile means the map isn’t fixed. As a general rule, the closer you are to our base, the quicker we can usually get to you and the more competitive the price, but we do travel further for both booked work and recovery call-outs.

Local coverage

Paisley sits right at the heart of our catchment area, and it’s where we carry out the majority of our day to day servicing and repair work. If you’re based here, you’ll usually find we can offer the shortest lead times.

Johnstone and Linwood are both well within easy reach, and we regularly carry out mobile servicing, diagnostics and repairs for drivers in both areas without any significant wait.

Renfrew and Erskine fall just as comfortably within our core area. Whether it’s a service, a battery replacement or a diagnostic check, we can usually be with you the same day or the next.

A little further out, Bishopton and Bridge of Weir remain firmly within our regular working patch. Response times here are still quick, though we’ll always confirm timing when you book.

Further afield

Our catchment area extends well beyond Renfrewshire, particularly for breakdown recovery, and reaches out towards Kilmarnock, Stirling, Dunoon and Cumbernauld. Jobs in these areas are still very achievable, though pricing and lead times will vary depending on distance and time of day, so it’s best to get in touch and confirm before booking.

Glasgow is a slightly different case. We’re currently unable to take our van into the city centre’s Low Emission Zone, but that will change later this year when a new vehicle joins the fleet. In the meantime, we’re still very much able to reach drivers on the edges of the city and along the M8 corridor, which falls outside the zone itself, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re in that area.

How pricing works

Because we’re a mobile service, cost is partly based on distance and, for breakdown recovery, the time of day too.
